The Yellow Zone
No Permit Required.
anywhere within the boundary line of your property is freely available.

The Red Zone
Council Permit Needed.
all areas outside the boundary line of the property are classified as Public Areas.

Even though it may appear as though you have exclusive use of an area (and may even maintain it), unless it is on your land title - it remains a Pubic Area.


RED ZONE COMMON QUESTIONS :

  • we’re the only house in the street
  • our place is in a very quiet street
  • the bin will only be on-site for a few hours
  • my neighbours won’t complain
  • we’re at the end of a cul-de-sac
  • the bin won’t be blocking any traffic or driveways

RED ZONE SIMPLE ANSWER :

  • anywhere in the Red Zone requires approved permission from your Local Council before a bin can be dropped off
