Council Permits
Placing a Skip Bin anywhere within your property boundary does not require a permit.
In most cases your letter box is set on the boundary of your property, but there are exceptions to this.
Anywhere outside your property boundary is deemed to be Public Property and as such usually requires permission, by way of a permit from your local council :
- the road outside your house
- the nature strip in front of your house
- on your driveway between your front boundary and the road
All these places will require a permit.
Each council has their own procedures and processes for obtaining a permit and we recommend you contact your local council to apply.
Placing a Skip Bin on Public Property without the proper permit may attract a fine.
Make sure you contact your local council if your Skip Bin is to be placed on public property.
Your application will need our Public Liability Insurance
